Screening of The Ringer with Co-Star Eddie Barbanell
Three Bone Theater and VisArt Video present a special screening of The Ringer (1h 34m PG13) with an appearance by Eddie Barbanell, who is the Co-star in this Johnny Knoxville PG-13 film. The Ringer is a comedy about a guy who tries to overcome a large debt by rigging the Special Olympics and posing as a contestant. Finger food and adult beverages will be available before the movie and there will be a Q&A and autographs afterward
with Eddie.
Eddie Barbanell, an actor with Down syndrome is also an advocate. He has appeared Off-Broadway at the Roundabout Theatre Company’s AMY AND THE ORPHANS, where Eddie took the lead in 2 shows a week. His breakthrough film performance in THE RINGER, with Johnny Knoxville, led to other film credits including HALL PASS, DUMB AND DUMBER TO, and ADDICTED TO FRESNO. His many TV guest star roles include recurring as Charlie in the series LOUDERMILK and as Brad in Comedy Central’s show WORKAHOLICS. In addition to his work in theatre and on screen, he is an Ambassador and athlete for the Special Olympics. In his role as the Special Olympics International Board Director, Eddie was part of a delegation of athletes and self-advocates who were present for President Obama’s historic signing of Rosa’s Law.
