VisArt Presents: Celebrating Women in Film – Women’s History Month

Film has long been a medium of storytelling, innovation, and cultural influence, yet the contributions of women – especially those from the mid-1800s to the mid-1900s – have often been overlooked.

These pioneering women broke barriers in directing, producing, screenwriting, cinematography, and more, paving the way for future generations.

As we celebrate women’s History Month, let’s spotlight some of the most groundbreaking women in film history –visionaries whose brilliance and resilience deserve recognition.

We thank Grayson, VisArt team member, who has located a few films

which are “must see’s” for March!
